Why is the Holster Uncomfortable when I Sit?

If you find the G1 or G2 holster to be uncomfortable when sitting this could be a result of a few different things.

  • The leather needs to break-in.  This generally takes 1-3 days however it can take up to 1-2 weeks depending on how often you use and wear the holster.
  • You are new to concealed carry and you'll need to get used to carrying a gun.  If after a few days of wearing the holster it is still uncomfortable see some of the other reasons below.
  • Your clothing is too tight.  We recommend wearing the correct size pants to your waist.  If you are a 36" waist then wear 36" pants.  38" pants will work as well but 34" pants will be a problem with comfort while carrying a firearm.
  • If you are concealing a full size firearm you may need to go up a size in your pants or ensure that they are a very relaxed style.  Any form fitting pants will be difficult to work with and uncomfortable to sit in with a full-size firearm.
  • Your pants are worn above the bend of your waist.  This is not a problem but if your pants are worn above the bend point of your waist then the firearm will be sitting higher, thus when you sit the firearm will likely jam into your stomach.  Simply push the entire holster rig down when sitting to overcome this issue.
  • The firearm may be the wrong size for that holster, verify that the firearm you are carrying is in the correct size holster. If the firearm is too large it will be uncomfortabl when sitting.  If we sent you the wrong size please let us know and we'll be happy to swap that out for you.
