Warranty
Urban Carry® holsters and accessory products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase.
Every Urban Carry holster is cut, stitched and finished in Sanford, Florida. If one of ours fails because we built it wrong, we will repair it or replace it. This page explains what that covers, what it does not, and exactly how to make a claim.
What is covered
Defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase, including:
- Stitching that separates or fails under normal use
- Rivets, snaps, screws or belt clips that break, loosen permanently, or pull free
- Retention hardware that stops functioning as designed
- Leather that splits, cracks or delaminates outside of normal break-in
- Magnetic or LockLeather™ retention components that fail to hold
What is not covered
- Normal wear. Patina, surface scuffing, colour deepening, and the softening and moulding of the leather to your firearm are expected with use and are not defects.
- Break-in stiffness. A new holster is meant to be snug. See the fix below before filing a claim.
- Misuse, abuse, or damage caused by alteration or modification of the holster
- Use with a firearm that has been modified, is custom-made, carries an unsupported attachment, or is outside factory specification
- Fit problems caused by using the holster with a firearm it was not sized for
- Damage from prolonged heat, direct sunlight, solvents, or excessive moisture
- Products not purchased from Urban Carry or an authorised Urban Carry dealer
- Items purchased through Amazon, which are handled under Amazon's own process
- Loss or theft of the holster or of the firearm carried in it
Two things that are usually not defects
Most warranty emails we receive turn out to be one of these, and both are fixable in a few minutes at home:
- The holster feels too tight, or the firearm is hard to draw. Premium leather is stiff when new and needs a short break-in. Wrap your unloaded firearm in a thin cloth or plastic bag, insert it, and leave it overnight.
- The firearm feels loose, or the retention clicks too softly. Retention is adjustable. Turn the tension screw clockwise with a standard Phillips screwdriver to tighten. Never remove the screw.
Step-by-step video walkthroughs for both are at UrbanCarryHolsters.com/LLGuide.
How to make a warranty claim
- Stop using the holster. If you believe a product has a defect in materials or workmanship, cease use immediately.
- Contact us. Email Support@UrbanCarryHolsters.com or call or text 888-661-5579.
- Send us four things: proof of purchase (your order number or receipt), the holster model and size, a description of the defect, and clear photos of it.
- Wait for your RMA number. We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization. Please do not ship anything back before you have one, as we cannot process a return without it.
- We inspect it. If the product is found to be defective, Turning Point Distribution will repair or replace it and return it to you at no cost, shipping included.
Warranty is not the same as a return
A warranty claim is for a product that failed because it was built wrong. A return or exchange is for a product that is fine but is not right for you — wrong size, changed your mind, did not suit the way you carry. Those run on a separate timeline and a separate process. See our Returns, Replacements & Refunds policy.
Not sure which one you have? Email us and describe the problem. We will point you to the right process.
Before you carry: safety
A holster is a safety-critical piece of equipment. Please read the Consumer and Safety Information in full before use. This warranty is subject to proper care, maintenance and use of the product as outlined there.
Check firearm fitment before ordering at GunSize.com. Never place a loaded firearm in a holster you have not first tested unloaded for proper fit.
Leather care
Apply a small amount of leather conditioner periodically to keep the holster hydrated, remove residue, and prevent dryness or cracking. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat, and store at room temperature in a breathable container. Condition more often if the holster is exposed to heavy sweat.
